Going to try TCA known as Trichloroacetic to remove syringoma

February 25, 2019
I'm trying something new! In the past, I would often use Wart & Mole Vanish to remove my syringomas.<

Next month (March 2019), I want to try something different that is not as expensive. You've probably heard of it; it's called TCA (Trichloroacetic acid). The dermatology industry uses it often for face peels and removing moles and skin tags. I haven't found an article that it will remove syringomas as well but I think that since skin tags are also bumpy and annoying like syringomas, I figure I would give it a try. Now, I haven't done the experiment yet but if it works, it'll cost me less than $20 for a bottle of TCA versus over $70 for the Wart Mole Vanish product to remove these pests. I've already gotten the TCA 40% at home. From researching online, you should never go over 50% proof for your skin!!! So beware and make sure you order right. This chemical is powerful and will burn you.

Right now, I am prepping my face for it. So before I use TCA, I will not use any exfoliator or any special creams in my regiment for the next 2 weeks or so; only soap and water. I've also ordered antibiotic ointment and alcohol prep pads to prepare for this (these are items I'm using to avoid infection from using TCA and to help my skin heal properly). I'm going to use gloves that I already have at home. Waiting to get in my mail is also a face neutralizer spray I've ordered online. I will disclose all the exact products I've ordered on here once they've arrived! I'm nervous about all of this because I don't know how intense it'll be and if I'll be able to handle it. I'm praying it won't end up damaging my skin. I read somewhere that I should only apply 3 - 4 minutes on the spot I need to get removed. I'm thinking, I will not go over 3 minutes. Then you'll need to rinse it off, use neutralizer spray if you want to and apply antibacterial (antibiotic) ointment right after that. No direct sun for 2 weeks as the peel is working or else you'll damage your face! Use SPF 25 if you end up going outside.

I am telling you, TCA is serious stuff. I'm nervous and I haven't even pop open the top. Wish me luck. Let's hope that I do it right and not damage my skin! I am planning on removing 5 syringomas on the left side of my face and 1 big syringoma on the right cheek. The left side are mainly under my eye. More updates to come!

Follow up on my Dec 2015 syringoma treatment & now removing my skin tag

February 16, 2016
It's been a good 1.5 months since I've treated my syringomas at home with the Wart & Mole Vanish in December 2015 and all the red marks are gone. Of the bunch that I treated, 2 of them got removed and left a bit of scarring but I know they will fade over time, just like my past experiences whenever I remove them. The others that didn't disappear have at least gotten flatter. Looking back, I didn't use the emery board like I did when I removed them more successfully last year.  I only used the toothpick this time and should have used both.

Here is how my face looks 1.5 months after at the December 2015 treatment using the Wart & Mole Vanish. Wart & Mole Vanish can be found on Amazon. This picture was taken with my Samsung Galaxy 6 camera phone.
You can see that my syringomas have flattened from before. Two of them are gone from my last treatment. There are some more noticeable ones on my eyelids though that I still need to work on. They are not bumpy enough right now so I don't want to treat them until they are easier to scratch and remove. I still put vitamin E oil on the ones I just treated to help with the scarring. You might notice that I have a white spot right under my eye in this picture. I took this picture yesterday. I was treating my skin tag that I have very close to my eye with also the Wart & Mole Vanish. Thankfully, it also works with skin tags!  This is the first time I am treating a skin tag. On the other side of a my face is a noticeable scar from my syringoma treatment in 2013. I had a very large syringoma that I waited too long to treat. So it left a big scar. I think this scar looks better than that ridiculously big bumpy syringoma I had there.  I think it is a lot better to treat when they are still little (but not too little where you can't treat it well) so the scarring can be minimized. Learn from my lessons. Don't let it get too big!

Here is how my skin tag looks like after I removed the cream 20 minutes later. It is already scabbing! See the big brown spot underneath my left eye? The area is swelling as well.

The swelling got even larger around the area about 20 minutes after that as well. This usually signifies for me that the formula worked. We will find out a couple of weeks later when the scab falls off naturally.

One thing I want to also recommend for treatment for your syingomas and skin tags on your face is a vanity mirror like this one. It is the first time I bought one and it makes applying the treatment so much easier!

I bought mine for $14.99 at Tuesday morning. It's a dual mirror. The other side magnifies 3x but I didn't use it. I used the regular side. It helps not having to hunch over to the bathroom mirror to get a closer look.

Red marks after the scabs have fallen off

January 7, 2016
Most of the scabs have fallen off now but there are still what looks to be most of my syringomas there that I treated with except they are really red. I am applying vitamin E oil every several hours to get the redness to go away and hopefully these bumps will flatten as well. I am thinking that I didn't do a good job this time. In retrospect, I forgot to use the emery board after I have scratched them with the toothpick or sharp silver stick. I am adding this to my list of tips for you. To see all the tips from what I've learned from using the Wart & Mole Vanish over the years, scroll to the bottom of this page link. That way, you'll hopefully be able to zap your syingomas right the first time and not have to do it over again.

Treating my syringomas in December 2015

January 5, 2016
Happy New Year! It's 2016!

Three days before the New Year, I applied the Wart & Mole Vanish again. Of course, I stopped documenting with the videos because they are basically the same steps and process over and over again. This time I attempted to remove my 18 biggest ones. We'll see how many actually goes away. I never get a 100% successful rate. I'd say between 70 - 80% usually goes away with the first treatment. I am currently in the scabbing period. See all the products I used to get rid of my syringomas.

About Me

I am a woman in my 30s who have had syringomas since I was in my early 20s. I usually use a cream to remove the biggest syringomas every year at home, by myself because they affect my self-esteem. It hurts when I do this. I know that they will always grow more and more on my face but I want to keep them under control so that I don't eventually get 100 syringoma bumps around my eyes at one time. It'll be a constant struggle and I've come to terms with what I have to do.
As always, research and buy with caution. There will always be new products out there and they can be really dangerous for your skin. I can't always get back to the comments on YouTube immediately with school and kids pulling my strings left and right but I appreciate all of your encouragement. Thank you readers and viewers for sticking with me and giving advice to me and others who have been going through the same skincare problems for so many years. Stay safe, everybody.

If you ever forget the name of my really long website, just type Syringomas.com, and it'll redirect you here. This website will still be here for as long as I am capable of maintaining it! Recently, I became an Amazon affiliate so links may earn a commission for me, but it's not much as barely anyone finds this website. If you're here, thank you and good luck with your bumps.
